Namgyal Monestery

The Namgyal Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Mcleodganj, Dharamsala. The monastery is the personal residence of the Dalai Lama ever since 1959. Namgyal Monastery has over 150 monks in residence and is one of the largest monasteries in India. The monastery is located in the town of Dharamsala, which is also the seat of the Tibetan government-in-exile.

TIPA

Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) is a Tibetan cultural institution in McLeodganj, India. Dal Lake

Triund

Situated at an altitude of 2,827 metres (9,291 ft) in the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, Triund is a starting point for various treks in the region. The hill station is accessible by a 3–4 hour hike from McLeodganj or by a 1-hour drive from Dharamshala. Triund offers stunning views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar range. The hill station is surrounded by forests of oak and rhododendron. Wildlife such as deer, langur and birds can be seen in the forests. The climate in Triund is cool and pleasant in summers and cold in winters. Snowfall is common in winters. Triund is a popular tourist destination and is known for its scenic beauty. Kareri Lake

Kareri Lake is fed by several glaciers, and is a source of water for the Morni hills.

The Indrahar Pass is a high mountain pass in the Dhauladhar range near McLeodganj, Dharamsala. Located at a height of 4,342 metres above sea level, the pass connects the Kangra Valley with the Chamba Valley. It is open from April to November. The pass is a popular trekking destination and offers stunning views of the Dhauladhar range. The trek from McLeodganj to the pass takes about 4 days.
